The Head of State witnesses a session on… "artificial intelligence" It was held at Al-Bahr Palace with the participation of a number of ministers and officials

Abu Dhabi, 28 November / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, today witnessed a session on “Artificial Intelligence”, which highlighted the vision of the UAE and its national strategy towards building an integrated system for artificial intelligence and employing it in the service of humanity and society and contributing to strengthening its position as a leading global center for this field… in addition to the radical transformations that artificial intelligence has brought about in the world and its impact in all areas of life and other axes.
The opening speech was delivered by His Excellency Khaldoun Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, during which he discussed the vision of the UAE’s leadership towards the future of artificial intelligence and innovation. His Excellency presented examples of the impact of artificial intelligence on the lives of individuals and how it has become part of the details of their day.
Also participating in the session were: Her Excellency Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri, Minister of Education, His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, the Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, His Excellency Mansour Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Askar, Director General of “Tamm” in the Department of Government Empowerment – Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the Cybersecurity Council of the UAE Government, His Excellency Ahmed Yahya Al Idrissi, Managing Director and CEO of MGX, and Peng Xiao, CEO to the G42 Group, along with a number of senior officials.
Speakers during the session stressed that artificial intelligence is a vital field that directly affects all aspects of life. They pointed out that the UAE was keen to keep pace with the rapid transformations that the world is witnessing in this field and made the core of its vision towards artificial intelligence human service and prosperity.
The session addressed a number of topics, including the UAE’s strategy for artificial intelligence and its applications in a number of vital sectors such as health, education, economics, and others, in addition to cybersecurity in the era of artificial intelligence. It also highlighted building artificial intelligence networks and disseminating knowledge, in addition to investing in the field to enhance the global economy. It also touched on the topic of “artificial intelligence governments and community service” and how to empower humans through education and future skills.
A number of speakers discussed the role of artificial intelligence applications in developing the quality of health care services and enhancing their efficiency, as they have contributed, according to statistics, to improving the accuracy of diagnosis and treatments and thus raising patient survival rates.
The UAE’s proactive approach to adopting future technology and employing it to serve humanity and society was also reviewed, as it launched the national strategy that is based on investing in talent and enhancing infrastructure and its competitiveness, in addition to launching the “Artificial Intelligence Readiness Index” to measure the readiness of federal agencies for leadership in the new era, and the index of compatibility of large linguistic models with Emirati culture and evaluating the accuracy of the information provided by these models and other initiatives that place the UAE’s culture at the core of its vision towards artificial intelligence and its future.
The session also witnessed a presentation – via phone – that explained how the “Tamm” application implemented integrated services from several government agencies, including vehicle renewal and insurance, electronic payment, in addition to interacting directly with the artificial intelligence tool to obtain answers, immediate support, and others.
The session touched on the educational system’s efforts to enable students to use artificial intelligence in a conscious and responsible manner, and to benefit from these technologies and employ them optimally to serve their learning and future, in addition to strengthening national identity, developing students’ sense of belonging, understanding Emirati culture, and others.
The session, which was held at Qasr Al Bahr, was attended by: His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad. Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, advisor to His Highness the President of the State and a number of sheikhs, ministers and senior state officials.
