"Al Ain International Hunting and Equestrian" Celebrates heritage and mental and physical sports

Al Ain, November 28 / WAM / The activities of the first session of the Al Ain International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2025 continue at the ADNEC Center in Al Ain, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain region, with wide participation from national bodies seeking to enhance cultural and sporting identity, led by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, the Emirates Falconers Club, Al Marzoum Hunting Reserve, and the Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club.
The Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority is participating as the heritage partner of the event, providing a rich experience that reflects the depth of the Emirati heritage through various corners, including the heritage fashion corner, which allows visitors to try on wearing traditional clothes and take photos, and the Al Dhafra Festival corner with a virtual tour, in addition to the Million Poet Program platform.
The Authority’s pavilion also offers innovative experiences such as the digital threat challenge game, and 3D smart screens that take visitors on a visual journey that celebrates symbols of heritage, in addition to Arabic coffee workshops, and yula and popular cooking competitions, which reflects the Authority’s vision of displaying heritage in a contemporary manner that attracts various groups.
The Emirates Falconers Club pavilion includes its most prominent initiatives, such as the Mohammed bin Zayed Falconry and Desert Physiognomy School, the International Falconry Friendship Festival, the Arabian Saluki Center, and the Hamdan Bin Zayed International Falconry Library, and provides visitors with the opportunity for an interactive experience that includes live falconry performances, areas for direct interaction, and learning about traditional hunting techniques, in addition to a program of school visits to introduce new generations to the arts of falconry.
It highlights the Hama Falconry Initiative, which highlights the role of youth in preserving this heritage, and celebrates the Arabian Saluki through live performances and heritage stories about its historical partnership with falconry.
As for Al Marzoum Reserve, which was established in 2015 on an area of 923 square kilometers, it showcases its efforts to revive the traditions of falconry in a safe and sustainable environment, and provides visitors with the opportunity to experience the traditional hunting of rabbits and bustards using camels or classic cars, while adhering to the controls of the hunting law in Abu Dhabi.
The reserve’s management confirms that its goals include preserving cultural identity, enhancing environmental awareness, and sustaining biodiversity, in addition to making Abu Dhabi the first destination for traditional hunting enthusiasts.
In terms of mental sports, the Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club offers an innovative experience under the umbrella of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, as it provides visitors with the opportunity to interact with robots that operate with artificial intelligence to train them in chess and play live matches with them.
Hashim Al-Taher, Managing Director and CEO of the club, said: “We were keen to provide a new experience that combines mental sports with modern technology through these robots for training and competing in chess, to be a qualitative addition to the exhibition and open new horizons for chess lovers.”
These participations confirm that the exhibition is not just a hunting and equestrian event, but rather an integrated platform that combines physical and mental sports, cultural heritage and modern technologies, which reflects the UAE’s vision of preserving its heritage and promoting innovation at the same time.
