The head of health care witnesses 4 extensive discussion sessions at the authority’s annual meeting

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki, President of the General Authority for Health Care, witnessed four expanded scientific discussion sessions, as part of the activities of the Authority’s sixth annual international forum, which was held this year under the slogan “From Vision to Expansion… We raise health care to international standards,” in the presence of the Prime Minister.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki explained that the discussion and dialogue sessions included an elite group of experts and scientific figures from Egypt and abroad. Various parts of the world, with the aim of exchanging experiences and reviewing the latest medical innovations and modern technologies in the health sector.

Stressing that the Authority’s annual forum has become a strategic platform to discuss future visions and provide scientific recommendations that contribute to enhancing the quality of health care and developing health policies at the national and international level.

He pointed out that training workshops were held for the Authority’s medical teams in various fields on the sidelines of the forum, stressing the importance of enhancing health knowledge and highlighting the latest medical and technological developments, in a way that supports excellence and sustainability in the care system. Health, stressing that following up on scientific developments and applying them practically contributes to improving the services provided to citizens, and enhances the health system’s ability to face future challenges, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

 

The Authority indicated that the first discussion session was titled “Cancer Vaccines: From Regulatory Readiness to Innovation and the Latest Developments,” and discussed the latest global developments in cancer vaccines and regulatory frameworks to accelerate the arrival of therapeutic innovations. Patients.

 

Dr. Wael Omran, Advisor to the President of the General Health Care Authority for Supply Affairs, and Director General of the General Administration for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Heba Mohamed, Director General of the General Administration for Innovative Products at the Egyptian Medicine Authority, participated in this session.

 

In addition to Dr. Rania Ibrahim, Director General of the General Administration for Regional Studies at the Egyptian Medicine Authority, and Dr. Dimitri Smoof, Director General of the Systematic Information Center for Screening. And accounting and analysis of the circulation of medical products of the Russian Health Supervision Authority, and Marina Sikacheva, Director General of the Institute of Personal Oncology at Sechenov University in Russia, and Dr. Anna Kons-Vaya, Deputy Director for Research and Analytical Affairs at the National Medical Center for Research in Treatment and Preventive Medicine of the Russian Ministry of Health, and the session was moderated by Dr. Nermin Ashour, Director of the Sustainability and Green Transformation Unit at the General Authority for Healthcare.

The second session was entitled “Expanding access to undercover groups: medicine about Dimension as a means to enhance comprehensive health coverage” and discussed the challenges facing inclusion of the most needy groups and the role of digital transformation and telehealth services in achieving health equity.

 Participated in this session were Dr. Sherine Ghaleb, Head of the Cairo Doctors Syndicate and Professor of Forensic Medicine and Clinical Toxicology at Cairo University Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Hoda Dahroug, Advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Digital Community Development, and Dr. Ahmed Siam, Assistant Executive Director and Director of the Economics Unit. Health and health systems studies at the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance, Engineer Hani Farouk Al-Thaalabawi, digital health expert at the World Health Organization, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Bakl, Assistant Professor of Neurology and Deputy Director of Ain Shams Digital Hospital. The session was moderated by Dr. Maha Mahmoud Al-Tahyoui, Member of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control, Professor of Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University.

The third session was titled “Robotic and Precision Surgery: Building Centers of Excellence.” In partnership between the public and private sectors, participants reviewed developments in robotic and precision surgery services, and methods for building integrated centers of excellence in partnership with the private sector, thus enhancing Egypt’s ability to adopt advanced medical technology and provide precise surgical care.

 

The fourth session was entitled “The Problem of Innovation and Budget: Can Local Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Bridge the Gap?”, where it discussed the relationship between pharmaceutical innovation and the health sector budget, And the potential of local manufacturing to provide sustainable alternatives that meet the needs of the market and maintain the Authority’s financial sustainability.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki also chaired the round table on the management of hemophilia and rare blood disorders, where the table discussed the challenges facing patients, methods of providing modern treatments, and a review of national policies and sustainable financing models for rare medicines, in addition to the best cooperative practices to enhance the quality of life of patients.

The activities of the forum witnessed the holding of a round table organized by Astellas on “OCAS technology in the management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH),” which discussed the latest innovative pharmaceutical solutions and the impact of advanced technology on improving therapeutic outcomes and quality of life.

 

 The session was moderated by Dr. Hassan Shaker, Professor of Urology at Ain Shams University, reviewing the role of OCAS technology in stabilizing drug concentrations over 24 hours, reducing side effects, and enhancing patients’ adherence to treatment, and participated in the discussions. An elite group of experts and decision makers, including Dr. Wael Omran, Advisor to the Chairman of the Healthcare Authority for Supply Affairs, and Dr. Ahmed Siam, along with senior urology consultants such as Dr. Anis Basayyid, Dr. Amr Khudair, and Dr. Yahya Essam, as well as representatives from the Authority’s supply and medicine sectors, including Dr. Aya Magdy Al-Banna and Dr. Alia Essam. Saleh.

 

 The session reviewed an analysis of real data over 14 months within the Authority’s facilities, which highlighted the reduction in side effects of the treatment and the stability of its effectiveness compared to traditional alternatives, in addition to discussing the economic value of adopting OCAS technology and its role in supporting pharmaceutical policies and rationalizing spending.

It is worth noting the launch of the sixth annual international forum of the General Authority for Healthcare, coinciding with the six-year anniversary of the launch of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.   Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, under the slogan “From Vision to Expansion: We Raise Health Care to International Standards,” over the course of November 26 and 27, 2025 in the New Capital.
