Sharjah Finance: Martyr’s Day establishes loyalty and belonging to the homeland

Sharjah, 30 November / WAM / His Excellency Walid Al Sayegh, Director General of the Sharjah Central Finance Department, said that “Martyr’s Day” is not just a date in memory, but rather a renewed era that links our present with the past of glory and confirms that our national journey was based on the values of sacrifice, loyalty and belonging.
He added on this occasion: “Today, on Martyr’s Day, we stand with all reverence and pride before the memory of men who were true to what they pledged to God and gave their pure lives in defense of the homeland and to preserve its dignity, security and stability.”
He continued: “As we in the Sharjah Central Finance Department salute the families of the martyrs and stand in respect for their steadfastness and patience, we affirm that our commitment to serving the nation and sincere work is part of fulfillment of their sacrifices and an extension of the meanings of giving that they imprinted with their pure blood.”
For his part, Sheikh Rashid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Director of the Central Finance Department in Sharjah, said that Martyr’s Day is a day of loyalty for those who believed that the security and stability of the nation was a responsibility that could not be waived, so they sacrificed their lives with sincere faith and firm determination.
He added: “Today we remember the people of the Emirates who bravely fought the fields of pride to write with their pure blood a history of glory and pride for every citizen living on this good land.”
He continued: “The sacrifices of the martyrs and the patience and steadfastness offered by their honorable families remain a source of inspiration for all of us, from which we draw inspiration from the meaning of sincerity and impartiality in serving the nation, each in his position and field. The union that we live in today, the security that we enjoy, and the development that we are witnessing are all the fruits of a generous planting provided by men who stood in the first row to protect the UAE flag.”
