The Minister of Irrigation witnesses the opening "19th World Water Congress" In Morocco

Dr. Hani Sweilem, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, witnessed the opening activities of the "Nineteenth World Water Congress" Held in the Kingdom of Morocco, and organized by the International Water Resources Association. (IWRA) in partnership with the Ministry of Equipment and Water in the Kingdom of Morocco under the title “Water in a Changing World: Innovation and Adaptation.”
Dr. Sweilem stated that this important conference discusses a number of important files concerned with the water sector around the world, and the many challenges this sector is witnessing in a changing world that is witnessing a large population increase, and increasing climate changes that negatively affect water around the world, whether through floods or severe droughts, in addition to rising temperatures, which is reflected in increased water consumption.
The world is also witnessing major technological developments that are reflected in all aspects of life, which is also reflected in the water sector, We are working to integrate modern technology into all of the Ministry’s work under the umbrella of the second generation of the Egyptian Irrigation System 2.0, and to train the Ministry’s human cadres to benefit from modern technologies in water management.
Dr. Sweilem thanked the Queen of Morocco for the successful organization of this important conference, stressing Egypt’s keenness to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences with all countries of the world, especially Arab and African countries.
