The Minister of Military Production meets with the Minister of Defense Industries of Azerbaijan
Engineer Muhammad Salah al-Din Mustafa, Minister of State for Military Production, met with Mr. Fugar Mustafayev, Minister of Defense Industries of the State of Azerbaijan. This came at the ministry’s pavilion as part of the activities of the first day of the International Defense Industries Exhibition “EDEX 2025" It will be held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, from 1 to 4 December, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
The Minister of State for Military Production confirmed the depth of relations between the two countries, which have witnessed a great boom over the past years, especially following President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s visit to the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku. In 2023, during which he launched a new path for relations between the two countries based on strategic partnership and cooperation in all fields, which witnessed more momentum following the visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, to Egypt last year.
During the meeting, Minister “Mohamed Salah” By reviewing the manufacturing, technological and technical capabilities of companies and units affiliated with the Ministry of Military Production, to which there are (15) industrial companies, in addition to a construction company, another for information systems, a center for scientific and technological excellence, a maintenance company, a training sector, a medical center, testing fields for ammunition and weapons, and an academy for engineering and advanced technology, which makes it an important stake in the national industry, stressing that the primary role of the ministry is to meet the demands of the armed forces and police for military products (from small munitions). Medium and heavy weapons, equipment, tanks, armored vehicles, and advanced electronic systems), various models of which are displayed in the Ministry’s pavilion at the International Defense Industries Exhibition “EDEX 2025,” pointing out that the surplus production capacities of companies affiliated with the Ministry are being utilized to manufacture civilian products of high quality and competitive prices, and to participate in the implementation of national and development projects in the country.
The Minister stressed that the Ministry of Production Al-Harbi is keen on openness and cooperation with all international companies working in various fields of manufacturing, in light of the ministry’s interest in everything related to industry, expanding the circle of its military and civilian products and raising their quality and competitiveness in global markets, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to seek to localize the latest manufacturing technologies in various fields, expressing his aspiration to conclude fruitful partnerships between military production companies and companies of the state of Azerbaijan that work in similar manufacturing fields for the benefit of the country. Both sides.
For his part, Mr. Fugar Mustafayev, Minister of Defense Industries of the State of Azerbaijan, expressed his happiness at holding this meeting, adding that the State of Azerbaijan is participating in the fourth edition of the International Defense Industries Exhibition “EDEX 2025" Through “Azersilah” company Defense Industries Holding, a wholly state-owned enterprise, under the supervision of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The company produces, sells and imports a wide range of defense industry products, and it also has a major role in defense and maintaining security within the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Mustafayev confirmed: Azerbaijani companies are interested in cooperating with “Military Production” This is within the framework of the distinguished manufacturing, technological, technical, human, research and infrastructure capabilities of its companies and units at the highest level, in addition to its accuracy and speed in performing the work entrusted to it and its participation in the implementation of many national and development projects in Egypt, which represent elements that can be used to enhance future aspects of cooperation between the two parties, especially in the field of military manufacturing.
