“Mecca and Omar”… the first born in Abu Dhabi on the 54th Union Day

Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi received two newborns at exactly 12:00 am, coinciding with the beginning of the United Arab Emirates’ celebrations of the 54th Union Day, in a moment that carried a special symbolism for families and the hospital alike.
Baby Makkah was born to her Algerian parents, Zuhair Attar and Lamia Marmat, weighing 3,110 kg, making her the fourth child born in the family.
The parents expressed their happiness on this occasion, stressing that her birth on this National Day represented a double blessing, and extending their thanks to the medical team for its continuous care during the pregnancy and birth period.
At the same time, the hospital also witnessed the birth of baby Omar to his Pakistani parents, Hamoud Al-Rahman and Andaleeb Saleem, weighing 3,560 kg.
The family stressed that the birth of their child on Union Day will remain a lasting memory for them, while they thanked the medical teams for the distinguished support and care.
For her part, Dr. Sailaja Fobo, Department Head and Obstetrics and Gynecology Consultant at Burjeel Hospital, explained that the arrival of two newborns on a national occasion reflects the symbolism of new beginnings, noting that such moments add special value to the celebration atmosphere inside the hospital.
The hospital witnessed a festive atmosphere on this occasion, as employees exchanged congratulations and sweets were distributed to celebrate the newborns, in a scene that combined the joy of families and the spirit of the national occasion.
