Furjan Dubai enhances the presence of Emirati talent on the 54th Union Day

The Farjan Dubai Foundation is strengthening the presence of Emirati talent during the 54th Union Day celebrations through a rich program of cultural activities and creative workshops in the Al Khawaneej and Jumeirah areas from December 1 to 7, as part of its vision aimed at highlighting national energies and developing the skills of new generations in a festive atmosphere that reflects the spirit of the union and revives Emirati heritage.
This year, the events offer 25 diverse workshops that highlight broad aspects of local heritage and provide interactive experiences that combine learning, work, and direct artistic presence, which contributes to strengthening national identity and connecting the public to the memory of the place and the history of our ancestors.
At the Al Warafa event in Al Khawaneej, daily workshops are offered that reflect the authenticity of traditional crafts, in addition to singing and musical performances presented by a number of Emirati talents, with the performance of live heritage pieces that give visitors an experience that combines art with belonging and identity. The event also includes the popular crafts area, which allows viewing handicrafts through direct experiences that revive the skills of ancestors and instil the value of craft work in the souls of the new generation.
As for the Al Dana event in Jumeirah, which will be held between December 5 and 7, it offers a group of workshops, crafts and plastic arts inspired by maritime heritage. The marine area accompanying the event includes live performances that embody the history of pearl diving and the making of nets, wooden boats and fishing tools, in a way that re-presents the story of the sea and its people in a way that connects the past with the present.
The program will witness the presentation of a heritage operetta at the two events, where the Al-Warfa operetta focuses on the wild heritage, while the Al-Dana operetta embodies the spirit of the sea and the courage of divers in searching for pearls.
Fatima Al Bastaki, Director of Partnerships at Furjan Dubai, said that the celebrations represent a platform to empower Emirati talent through programs that combine art and heritage and open a space for young people to express their identity, stressing that the Foundation will continue to build new partnerships that support national creativity and ensure the transfer of Emirati heritage to future generations in an inspiring and innovative manner.
