Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed and Yas bin Hamdan bin Zayed attend the Union Day celebration at Al Dhafra Fort
Al Dhafra, December 3, 2017 – Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Yas bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the Union Day celebration at Al Dhafra Fort, which was held in conjunction with the country’s celebrations of the 54th Union Day, in the presence of a number of sheikhs and their excellencies, along with a number of officials, male and female employees, senior citizens, and notables from the region.
The celebration at the historic Al Dhafra Fort embodied the spirit of the national occasion through a display that combines heritage arts and cultural events that reflect the authenticity of the Al Dhafra region and the depth of its connection to the history of the UAE. The event reviewed the state’s journey from its early beginnings and the establishment of its blessed union, through the stages of development and construction, reaching the prosperity, development and leadership it has achieved today, in an artistic scene that expresses the nation’s journey and the approach of wise leadership.
Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that the Union Day celebrations embody a cherished national occasion to renew loyalty to the wise leadership, and to recall the efforts of the founding fathers who laid the foundations of this strong and cohesive nation. He pointed out that the performances and events he witnessed highlight the country’s ancient cultural heritage, clearly reflect the meanings of unity and cohesion, and express the pride of the people of Al Dhafra in the march of the Union and its achievements.
The celebration concluded with group artistic performances and patriotic paintings in which the people of the region participated, in an atmosphere full of pride and pride that confirms the status of the Union in the hearts.
