Abu Dhabi, 8 March / WAM / His Excellency Sharif Hashem Al Hashemi, Director General of the Industrial Development Directorate at the Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council, confirmed that Zayed Humanitarian Work Day represents a renewed national milestone to recall the immortal humanitarian legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul,” who established a unique humanitarian approach that made giving a state style and goodness a message that transcends borders and geography.
He said in a statement on the occasion of Zayed Humanitarian Work Day that Sheikh Zayed, may God have mercy on him, viewed humanitarian work as a firm moral commitment and an integral part of the identity of the UAE and its approach to building human beings and preserving their dignity without discrimination, which made his name immortal in global human consciousness as a symbol of sustainable giving.
He added that commemorating Zayed Humanitarian Work Day embodies the renewal of the pledge to continue this established approach, consolidate the culture of giving in society, and work in the spirit of national and humanitarian responsibility to translate the values of Zayed of Charity into sustainable initiatives that continue the path of goodness and reflect the civilized image of the UAE as a global beacon of humanitarian work.
