Nahyan bin Mubarak approves the operational plan for “Sandooq Al Watan Winter”

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sandooq Al Watan, confirmed that the trend towards strengthening Emirati identity and consolidating moral values between generations has become a consistent approach for Sandooq Al Watan, in accordance with the lofty directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, who taught us that promoting authentic Emirati values among new generations is a real investment in the future of the Emirates, and from here the “Sandooq Al Watan Winter” program stands out as one of the community initiatives that combines authenticity. The educational methodology focuses on enhancing belonging, establishing a system of practical ethics, and restoring the Arabic language as a bridge of knowledge and values.

This came after the adoption of Sandooq Al Watan’s plan to launch the activities of the “Sandooq Al Watan Winter” program in 10 main headquarters across the country to receive school students, starting from the eighth of December, and over a period of two weeks.

The program targets school students from six to 16 years of age, in four main categories, and includes dozens of activities. The first week focuses on the Emirati Sana in language and work, and moral values ​​such as respect, generosity, benevolence, and wisdom, while the second week focuses on Islamic morals in our daily lives, such as honesty, patience, humility, and loyalty to the covenant, which reflects the Fund’s vision of investing in people, and working to build a generation that is proud of its cultural and religious heritage, and capable of representing the values ​​of the Emirati Sana in its daily life.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan said that adopting the Sandooq Al Watan winter plan comes as an affirmation of our deep commitment to building humanity, consolidating societal values ​​and moral virtues, and promoting positive behavior in the hearts of new generations, as the program reflects the clear vision of Sandooq Al Watan in strengthening the authentic Emirati identity, preserving the cultural and religious heritage, and transmitting it to new generations within a modern and innovative educational environment.

He explained that the program is being launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Department of Education and Knowledge, and a number of institutions and partners in the educational and heritage sectors, in a way that contributes to consolidating national identity and integrating the roles between state institutions in raising a generation that is proud of its values ​​and history.

He pointed out that this year’s edition focuses specifically on the Emirati tradition by teaching students its principles and rules, and introducing them to the values ​​that the people of the Emirates grew up with, such as respect, generosity, benevolence, and wisdom, within the framework of ensuring the sustainability of these values, which are rooted in our cultural and religious heritage, so that they remain present in the behavior of the sons and daughters of the Emirates.

He pointed out that the Sandooq Al Watan winter program, which lasts for two weeks, focuses on activities related to the Emirati Sana “language and work,” and the second week focuses on morals in daily life, which include honesty, patience, humility, and loyalty to one’s covenant, pointing out that the program works to achieve seven main goals: teaching the principles of the Emirati Sana and its behavioral values, promoting the use of classical Arabic, integrating religious and social values into interactive educational activities, introducing students to Emirati history through museums and heritage sites, and enhancing their awareness. The importance of protecting the environment and sustainability, raising awareness of the importance of cultural heritage, and supporting the Arabic language.

He noted that the program offers dozens of specialized activities according to the four age groups, with the first category (from six to eight years) focusing on movement and fun activities, simplified stories, drawing and coloring, memorizing short verses, learning the values of respect, compassion, and sharing, and linking values to Emirati heritage, while the second category (from nine to 11 years) provides students with movement activities, short stories, group play, memorizing short surahs, linking Islamic values to the Emirati tradition, and promoting respect. Charity, generosity, and hospitality etiquette, while the program offers the third category (from 12 to 13 years old) interactive discussions, writing and expression, dramatic scenes, consolidating moderation and justice, and linking Qur’anic values to the origins of the Emirati sana. As for the fourth, they will be working with them on small volunteer projects, preparing advanced linguistic content, and open dialogues about the application of sana in contemporary society, and memorizing surahs that enhance leadership and responsibility.

He expressed his appreciation and thanks to all the entities and schools that were keen to participate in the program and provide all forms of support to attract students to participate, as ten main schools were chosen to receive the participating students, which are: Abu Dhabi International School, Al-Nokhba Private School, GEMS World Academy on Reem Island, Emirates National School, Emirates National School in Al Ain, Abdullah Bin Al Zubair School, Repton School – Nad Al Sheba in Dubai, Al Ansar International School in Sharjah, and GEMS Winchester School in Fujairah. And the Emirates National School in Ras Al Khaimah.

He added: “Sandooq Al Watan’s winter program reflects our faithful implementation at Sandooq Al Watan of the wise vision of His Highness the President of the State, which focuses on building the human being at the forefront, and that strengthening the inherited Emirati values, and forming a generation that is proud of its values ​​and country, has good morals, and applies civilized behavior to the Emirati people in their daily lives, is the most important goal for all institutions.”
