"Emsteel" provide "Zayed National Museum" With 24 thousand tons of rebar during the construction phase

Abu Dhabi, December 5, 2017 – The Emsteel Group contributed to the development of the Zayed National Museum, which was opened by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” in the presence of Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council of the Union, Rulers of the Emirates, coinciding with the country’s celebrations of the 54th Union Day.

This museum is considered one of the leading cultural edifices that commemorates the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and celebrates the unity of the Emirates, its ancient heritage, and its journey of development.

During the construction phase, EMSTEEL provided steel and basic building materials for the project, including up to 24,000 tons of rebar, along with a direct supply of concrete products amounting to 25,000 units, in addition to approximately 100,000 tons of loose cement supplied over a period of three years to support the museum’s construction work.

Engineer Saeed Ghumran Al Rumaithi, CEO of Emsteel Group, said on this occasion that the opening of the Zayed National Museum on the 54th anniversary of Federation Day is an important milestone in the history of the UAE, as it embodies the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and highlights the exceptional progress of the UAE.

He expressed their pride that Emsteel steel and building materials products contributed to a landmark that carries such cultural and historical importance, as this project reflects the group’s role in supporting the long-term development of the UAE and their commitment to strengthening an industrial sector that continues to strengthen the future of the nation.

Emsteel played a major role in shaping the cultural and architectural landscape in the UAE, by supplying iron and building materials to a number of its most prominent landmarks, including the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the recently constructed Abu Dhabi Natural History Museum, and the upcoming Guggenheim Museum Abu Dhabi in the cultural district on Saadiyat Island, in addition to prominent national projects such as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, and the Museum of the Future in Dubai.
