Bentaek unilaterally terminates his contract with Zamalek

The journalist Ibrahim Abdel Gawad announced through his account on the “X” platform: Zamalek player Mahmoud Bentaek unilaterally terminated his contract, as a result of the delay in receiving his financial dues for long periods, despite his repeated requests to the administration to pay them.

With Bentaek’s step, the series of crises that Zamalek has been experiencing recently continues, after the club witnessed during the past weeks the Moroccan Salah Mosaddeq terminate his contract for the same reasons, in addition to the movements of Ahmed Al-Juffali and his colleague Abdel Hamid Maali to begin procedures for terminating the contract due to the continuing financial crisis. And they did not receive contract advances and late salaries.

Reports indicate that the players have begun communicating with their lawyers, in preparation for filing official complaints with FIFA, which threatens Zamalek with new penalties if rulings are issued against the club.
