Councils are no longer just places for meetings and gatherings, but rather have turned into an integrated system of community work that contributes to bringing people together, providing a safe environment for exchanging ideas and communication, and providing activities that enhance the values of cooperation and solidarity among people.

Through its sponsorship of the councils, the Fujairah Regional Development Foundation continues to develop an effective operational system through which the councils are managed with high efficiency, by improving the infrastructure, modernizing facilities equipment, organizing reservation mechanisms, and providing qualified operating teams. This integrated organization contributed to raising the operational capacity of the councils and transforming them into active community centers that accommodate various events and events throughout the year, keeping pace with the needs of the people and reflecting the quality of services provided to them.

His Excellency Abdullah Khalfan Al Yamahi, Acting Director of the Fujairah Regional Development Foundation, said that community councils represent one of the vital pillars in strengthening the social fabric in the UAE, because of the direct communication environment they provide that brings community members closer together, and opens the way for dialogue and exchange of opinions on various issues that touch their daily lives.

He added that the councils play an essential role in transferring knowledge, values and experiences from one generation to another, as young people find in them an opportunity to learn from the experiences of the elderly and learn about the social legacy that shaped the identity of Emirati society. They also enhance the values of loyalty and belonging by bringing together the various segments of society under one roof, and establishing a culture of rallying around wise leadership.

He pointed out that community councils in the Emirate of Fujairah have become vital platforms for holding events, seminars and awareness sessions in the cultural, social, sports, health and wedding events fields, which contribute to raising the level of community awareness and activating the participation of residents in benefiting from the services provided by the councils, in addition to the facilities they provide for meetings and community interaction.

Operational data for the first quarter of 2025 revealed a significant increase in the number of events hosted by councils in the emirate, reaching 107 events compared to 45 events during the same period in 2024, which included social events, family events, lectures, public meetings, graduation parties, and the holding of a number of weddings and family celebrations.
