Settlers storm the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque… and the Israeli occupation arrests 5 Palestinians

Settlers stormed, today, Sunday, the courtyards of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of Jerusalem, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police.

 

The Palestinian News Agency “Wafa” Local sources said, “Dozens of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in groups, carried out provocative tours in its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals, under the protection of occupation soldiers and police.”

 

In this context, today, the occupation forces arrested five citizens from the town of Sa’ir, east of Hebron, including four brothers, following an attack carried out by settlers on the citizens’ homes. And their property in the Hamroush area of the town.

The Israeli occupation forces also stormed Wadi Al-Fara’a, south of Tubas. Local sources reported that the occupation forces set off from the Hamra checkpoint and stormed the area and deployed an infantry squad during their storming of Al-Fara’a, without any injuries or arrests being reported until the moment.

In a related context, Samir Zaqout, Deputy Director of the Al-Mizan Center for Human Rights, confirmed in an interview with “The Nile” TV channel. According to Al-Akhbar, the occupation forces are continuing their attempts to expand the area they control in the Gaza Strip, which is called the “yellow zone,” and its area exceeds 63% of the Strip.

He explained that the occupation forces continue daily demolitions of homes in the areas under their control with the aim of expanding those areas, in addition to the continuous shooting and targeting on a daily basis, which indicates that the occupying state is not committed to implementing the ceasefire agreement, stressing the need to pressure Israel to implement The agreement.

For weeks, the Israeli occupation forces have continued to implement accelerated field steps inside the Gaza Strip with the aim of expanding what it calls the “yellow zone,” which separates areas of military operations from populated neighborhoods, and Israel considers it a “temporary security zone.”
