"Municipal affairs" In Sharjah, it participates in the 14 Suburbs Festival

Sharjah, 8 December / WAM / The Department of Municipal Affairs in the Emirate of Sharjah is participating in the framework of enhancing community communication and participation in local events, with a unified pavilion that brings together municipalities from the cities and regions of the emirate within the activities of the “14 Suburbs” festival, which is currently being held in Al Qarayen Park on 5 September until 29 December, to provide a group of interactive and educational activities for all individuals and groups of society.
The participation of the Department of Municipal Affairs in this unified pavilion confirms its keenness to enhance community work, spread environmental awareness, and encourage active participation from all segments of society, as each municipality within its pavilion offers various activities that combine entertainment and environmental awareness. The events include educational and cultural workshops to enhance environmental knowledge and sustainable practices in an innovative and attractive manner, and interactive entertainment activities that encourage community participation and develop thinking and creativity skills, in addition to cultural and artistic performances that highlight the Emirati heritage and contribute to strengthening national identity and belonging to the homeland.
His Excellency Sultan Muhammad bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Head of the Department of Municipal Affairs, confirmed that the department’s participation within the unified pavilion reflects the department’s keenness to enhance direct communication with the community and involve all family members in an integrated community experience, noting that the pavilion constitutes an ideal platform for promoting societal values, spreading environmental awareness, and encouraging interaction between various segments of society.
For his part, Sheikh Engineer Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of the Department of Municipal Affairs, explained that the department’s participation comes within its efforts to enhance community work, spread a culture of positive participation, and encourage all segments of society to become environmentally aware through interactive and educational activities.
