The launch of the 15th conference of the Arab Union for Sustainable Development
Under the auspices of the League of Arab States, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo, the proceedings of the fifteenth international conference of the Arab Union for Sustainable Development and the Environment were held, under the title: “Sustainable development and the future of generations.” The conference proceedings were opened with the keynote speech by Dr. Raed Al-Jubouri – Minister Plenipotentiary – Director of the Department of Arab Organizations and Unions at the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, and Dr. Ashraf Abdel Aziz, Secretary-General of the Union, and President The conference, with broad participation from experts, officials and Arab institutions concerned with environmental and development issues.
Dr. Amani Yassin, represented by the Palestinian delegation participating in the conference, said in exclusive statements to the Rosalyosif Portal that tomorrow she will present a research paper that includes the role of education in building a green generation, especially young people, and their role in preserving the environment Focusing on sustainable development goals and highlighting the correct behaviors of young people, which are based on convictions, as well as eliminating waste to obtain a clean environment, because young people do not have sufficient information about them, and the idea of persuasion must be implanted for young people as an important part of the labor market, as she indicated that she is the president of the Arab Intellectual Property Association, based in America. To direct young people to an educational and awareness aspect, which are energies that need to be directed because young people must be creative.
She confirmed that she will soon create a digital platform in the coming months. She also announced the organization of an important conference for women in the labor market and their role in creativity.
On the other hand, this year’s conference, held at the Arab League To shed light on one of the most important issues of sustainable development, which is strengthening the link between the needs of current generations and the rights of future generations, in light of the global expansion in applications of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030, the need to support innovation and the use of safe and sustainable technology, support family and children’s issues, and empower Arab creators and innovators. The conference will be held over five days and is jointly organized with Al-Zaytouna University. The State of Libya, the conference aims to enhance Arab and Arab-international integration in sustainable development issues, spread environmental awareness and the role of family media in building sustainable community awareness, support innovation and environmentally friendly entrepreneurship, highlight digital risks and ways to protect the family, highlight the role of technology in building a sustainable future, build strategic partnerships that support development and the environment, and support creatives and entrepreneurs in transforming ideas into implementable projects, by discussing several topics during its sessions, the most notable of which are:
• Sustainable cities and urban transformation.
• Family media and digital transformation: towards sustainable awareness and security.
• Entrepreneurship and innovation in supporting sustainable development efforts and the environment.
