Schubert attacks the plan to celebrate the LGBT community in the Egypt-Iran match

The journalist Ahmed Schubert launched a sharp attack on the controversy surrounding the intention to organize a special celebration for the LGBT community, during the match between Egypt and Iran scheduled to be held on the twenty-sixth of July in the American city of Seattle as part of the World Cup competitions.

Schubert, while presenting his program with Schubert on Radio On Sport FM today, Tuesday, stressed that the idea of holding a celebration of this kind in a match that brings together two teams belonging to two Islamic communities is a malicious act. He added that US President Donald Trump stands against such outward manifestations, as he described it, noting that the crisis erupted in light of the Egyptian Football Association not receiving any official communications regarding the matter, while Iran was quick to announce its complete rejection of this measure proposed by the city of Seattle.

It is noteworthy that Seattle city officials, including the mayor and members of the city council, generally belong to the Democratic Party.

Seattle is known to be a stronghold of leftist trends in American politics, and even some politicians in local positions enjoy support from these factions, knowing that the conservative Yemeni Republican Party rejects such phenomena outside religion, customs and traditions.
