The operations focused on removing water pools and improving the flow of movement in the main streets and axes, in addition to operating and maintaining rainwater drainage networks and mobile and fixed pumps, doubling the readiness of the equipment, and receiving residents’ reports through official channels, while submitting successive field reports in coordination with various relevant authorities.

This coincided with the continuation of the implementation of infrastructure projects within the rainwater drainage program, as the current system – along with the canals and lifting stations being implemented – contributed to enhancing the networks’ ability to absorb large quantities of rainwater, and this was reflected in improving the flow of water in several locations and reducing the effects of gatherings in varying areas of the governorate.
The Jeddah Municipality expressed its appreciation for the residents’ cooperation in supporting field efforts, stressing the importance of staying away from water gathering sites and avoiding electrical power sources. In the interest of safety.
