Opening of the Olympus Regional Center at Dubai Science Park

Dubai, December 11 / WAM / Olympus International has opened a service and training center dedicated to the Middle East, Turkey and Africa region at the Dubai Science Park, affiliated with the TECOM Group, in a step that reflects the park’s position as a leading destination for companies working in the fields of medical science and technology.
The launch of the new center strengthens the vital structure of the sector by supporting regional partners and developing technical skills according to the highest standards.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Jun Imanishi, Consul General of Japan in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of TECOM Group, Dubai Science Park, Ronald Boeri, Vice President and General Manager of Olympus in the region, and Dr. Ziad Al Mousa, General Manager of Gulf Pharmaceuticals, along with a number of officials from both parties.
The center represents an investment worth 3.7 million dirhams, benefiting from the structure of Dubai Science Park, which enables Olympus to serve its partners in more than 33 countries.
The company is considered one of the most prominent global players in medical technologies and has a network of regional centers that extend across continents, enhancing its capabilities in training and technical support.
The center at Dubai Science Park will provide specialized practical training on Olympus medical and surgical devices, technical workshops and application demonstrations, an advanced maintenance workshop and a spare parts warehouse that will contribute to strengthening supply chains and supporting hospitals and health institutions in the region.
Marwan Abdul Aziz Janahi stressed that the expansion of international companies through a physical presence in the country enables them to access economic opportunities and consolidate their relationships with customers, noting that the opening of the new Olympus Center reflects the company’s confidence in Dubai, and confirms the status of the complex as an incubator environment for scientific companies.
For his part, Ronald Bowery explained that the new center constitutes an essential step in Olympus’ regional growth journey, as it enhances its ability to provide technical services and specialized training to its partners, stressing that Dubai Science Park provides the ideal environment for developing the company’s business thanks to its wide network of companies and medical experts.
The center includes two fully equipped training spaces to qualify 150 engineers from the company’s partners across the region, where they will receive advanced programs covering preventive maintenance, repair methods, equipment installation, and service operations management.
Dubai Science Park includes more than 6,500 specialized experts within an integrated business system that includes advanced office spaces, LEED-certified laboratories, and units dedicated to storage and logistics services, which enhances its role as a major hub for developing scientific innovation in the region.
