The Governor of Al Sharqiya stresses the fulfillment of health and environmental requirements for issuing mobile station licenses

Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharqiya, stressed to the Director of the Environmental Affairs Department at the General Court the necessity of full commitment not to issue any licenses to establish food, industrial, or medical projects or mobile network booster stations except after ensuring that all environmental and health requirements are met. He stressed the necessity of launching periodic inspection campaigns to control violations, and to take the necessary legal measures to preserve the health and safety of citizens.
Engineer Maher Al-Shannaf, Director of the Environmental Affairs Department at the General Court, confirmed that a working team would be established. Environmental management carries out a number of tasks assigned to the administration; To ensure compliance with health and environmental requirements, which resulted in examining 100 environmental impact assessment forms for new projects and approving 99 projects after meeting the required conditions, and postponing one project until the environmental and health safety requirements were completed, preparing the environmental record for 6 facilities, and conducting environmental measurements for 6 facilities, including “3 hospitals, a supermarket, and two bakeries.”
He pointed out Al-Shannaf noted that 76 environmental complaints submitted by citizens were examined, 4 companies working in the field of biological control of insects and rodents were inspected, and 8 new sites were inspected to establish mobile stations in the “Belbeis” centers – Al-Qanayat – Al-Ibrahimiyya – Al-Husseiniyah – Mashtoul Al-Souq. It was approved and preliminary permits were issued, after ensuring compliance with applicable environmental and health standards.
He also confirmed that it was prohibited to erect a mobile network reinforcement tower on the roof of an integrated hospital, due to the lack of interference between electromagnetic wavers and cardiac or intensive care equipment in the hospital.
