The festival’s activities also embodied Abu Dhabi’s vision of empowering the Arabic language to be a bridge that connects the unique cultural heritage with the fabric of the present, and nourishes it with innovation, creativity and imagination towards a bright future.
The richness of the cultural evening was evident in the main hall during the dialogue session “Tone and Poem: Heritage as a Source of Contemporary Creativity,” which witnessed an in-depth discussion between singer Lina Chamamian and poet Dr. Mahdi Mansour, moderated by Rawan Al-Helou.
In the “Stories Around the Fireplace” program, music and storytelling added an exceptional atmosphere to the “Sung Poetry: Stories on a String” session, with the participation of Fayez Al-Saeed and Ali Al-Khawar, accompanied by oud player Ali Hassan Khosravi.
The session discussed music as a container of memory and a means of transmitting stories, values and history across generations.
At the youth platform, young visitors interacted with the graffiti wall, the photography corner, and live performances, while the workshop by director and digital content creator Sami Al-Shafei, entitled “How social media helped me in my film career,” was widely admired by a diverse audience.
