The Wheelchair Basketball Federation approves the new technical staff for the Egyptian national team

The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Wheelchair Basketball Federation, headed by Mai Zein El-Din, announced the formation of the new technical staff for the Egyptian national team, in preparation for participation in the Arab Championship for teams scheduled to be held in the State of Kuwait next January, in a step that paves the way for building a strong competitive stage before the start of the African World Cup qualifying tournament.

 

The formation of the new technical staff came to reflect the federation’s desire to support the team with elements possessing extensive experience locally and internationally, where the following was decided upon: Captain Ismail Okasha as technical director, Dr. Mohamed Gamal as general coach, Captain Jamad Jad al-Rab as coach, and Captain Mahmoud Hassan as administrative director.

 

This formation comes with the aim of giving the team technical stability at a sensitive stage, especially with the importance of the Arab Championship as an essential station in the preparation program for the next African Championship, which provides qualifications for the World Championship.

 

The team enters the agenda. Crowded during the coming weeks, as he is expected to go through an intensive preparation period aimed at raising the physical and technical aspects of the players, with a focus on creating greater harmony between the main elements and the new ones, in preparation for facing strong teams expected to participate in the Arab Championship in Kuwait.

 

This step comes within the federation’s plan to develop the path of the first team, raise the level of international competition, and enhance Egypt’s chances of competing strongly in the arena of continental tournaments qualifying for the tournament.
