Al-Ahly club settled its contract with the Moroccan left winger Youssef Belamri, a player for the Moroccan club Raja, after negotiations that extended for several days and witnessed rapid developments that ended with a final agreement between all parties.

According to what was revealed by the Africa Foot website, the deal was officially completed, after recent developments reinforced the validity of the initial information published by the site regarding the player’s approach to wearing the red shirt.

 

The sources confirmed that the agreement was reached. The final took place between Al-Ahly and Raja Club, in addition to the player agreeing to play professionally in Cairo.

The negotiations witnessed a decisive turning point following the categorical refusal expressed by Moroccan defender Ashraf Dari to join Raja within the terms of the deal, which prompted Al-Ahly management to reconsider the financial details of the agreement. In light of this situation, the Red Castle agreed to increase the financial compensation to complete the contract with Belamri without entering into any exchange deals.

Al-Ahly yesterday evening, Saturday, obtained official approval from the Raja Athletic Administration, thus closing one of the most prominent deals of the upcoming winter transfer period. The Moroccan club’s decision to approve the sale of the player came after intense negotiations, in light of its desire to maximize the financial return before Belamri enters the final period of his contract.

Youssef Belamri is expected to arrive in Cairo within the next few days to undergo a medical examination, in preparation for signing contracts and officially joining the ranks of Al-Ahly as of January, provided that no emergency developments occur in the last moments.
