The Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain receives an Emirati government delegation

Manama, 15 December / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, received a delegation from the government of the United Arab Emirates, where they discussed ways to enhance relations of cooperation and coordination between the governments of the two countries in the areas of knowledge exchange, sustainable development, competitiveness, and government modernization, and opportunities for developing them in light of the common directions and visions of the leadership of the two brotherly countries.

During his meeting with the delegation of the Government Knowledge Exchange Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs of the UAE government, His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain attaches great importance to exchanging experiences and building effective partnerships with the government of the sisterly UAE, based on the shared visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, and his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, may God protect them, and what cooperation and integration have reached. Of advanced levels between the two countries.

His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa welcomed the UAE government delegation, praising the continuous development witnessed in Bahraini-Emirati relations in various fields, and the strong fraternal ties and close cooperation that unites the two brotherly countries that enhance opportunities for joint work in priority sectors.

For his part, His Excellency Abdullah Nasser Lootah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange and Chairman of the National Committee for Sustainable Development Goals, affirmed the UAE government’s keenness to continue enhancing cooperation and exchanging experiences in the areas of government work with the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, praising the progress it has achieved in the areas of sustainable development and the development of government work.

Abdullah Lootah said that the UAE government, through the government knowledge exchange platform and its pioneering experience in the field of sustainability, believes in the importance of sharing the successful government models and practices that it has developed with the governments of sisterly and friendly countries around the world, in a way that contributes to expanding the horizons of innovation and development in the areas of government modernization and sustainability.

During the meeting, joint cooperation prospects in the fields of modernization, government development, innovation in government services and sustainability were discussed.

The UAE government delegation met with His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and discussed with him areas of cooperation and expanding the horizons of exchanging experiences and knowledge. It also met with Her Excellency Nour bint Ali Al Khalif, Minister of Sustainable Development and CEO of the Economic Development Board, and discussed with her ways to enhance cooperation in the areas of sustainable development and support its paths.
