المملكة: 64 million riyals to develop and maintain 1,037 mosques with modern standards

Launched Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance A large-scale service contract package during the month of November 2025, targeting the maintenance, cleaning, and operation of “1,037” mosques and mosques in the regions of Mecca, Riyadh, and Qassim, at a financial cost exceeding “64” million riyals, in implementation of the updated terms and technical specifications that impose precise standards to raise the efficiency of operational performance and ensure the sustainability of services provided to the Houses of God.
The Ministry awarded these projects with a total value. A minute amounted to “64,356,840.66” riyals, basing its new contracts on developed technical provisions aimed at creating a tangible qualitative shift in the environment Mosquesand their service facilities.
Full readiness
The hand of development extended to include the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region by covering 300 mosques and mosques, where contracts were allocated for the maintenance of the first group consisting of 150 mosques in Al-Laith Governorate, and the same in Adham Governorate to ensure their complete readiness.
In the capital and its environs, the Ministry directed its attention towards Dalam Governorate to maintain the first group, which includes 150 mosques and mosques, in conjunction with the signing of operating and cleaning contracts for 103 mosques in Al-Aflaj Governorate.
The largest share
Won Al-Qassim region has the largest share numerically within this package, as the contracts included the third group for 250 mosques in Unayzah Governorate, and the eighth group, which covers 234 mosques and mosques in Al-Midhnab Governorate.
These steps reflect the extreme care that the wise leadership gives to the architecture of the houses of God, by harnessing all material capabilities to prepare them in a civilized manner befitting their sanctity and providing comfort and tranquility for millions. Worshipers.
New conditions booklet
All implementation stages are subject to direct follow-up by Minister Dr. Abdul Latif Al Sheikh, who stresses the strict application of the new conditions booklet to ensure that the quality of services does not fall below the expected levels.
The new contracts address maintenance needs in a proactive and preventive manner, which contributes to prolonging the life span of mosque buildings and their contents, and enhances the efficiency of energy and resource consumption in them.
