"ocha"The needs exceed the ability of humanitarian workers to respond in Gaza

OCHA warned: The needs still exceed the ability of humanitarian workers to respond, given the ongoing obstacles they face in the Gaza Strip, and the rainstorms and low temperatures are making the situation worse throughout the Strip.
According to the United Nations Information Center, the Office of “OCHA” stated: As part of ongoing efforts to provide the necessary support to face the winter, the United Nations is distributing parcels of essential items – including food aid, hygiene materials and shelter supplies – to help confront future storms and support the population after the recent rains. OCHA confirmed" United Nations partners working to improve access to adequate shelter have delivered 3,800 tents, approximately 4,600 plastic sheets, and thousands of bedding kits to approximately 4,800 families.
United Nations partners are also working to address the increased risk of hypothermia in newborns, by providing specialized cold prevention kits that are purchased and prepared locally for distribution.
