"National Narcotics Control" Organizes a national workshop to prepare the scientific content of the security and safety subject
Abu Dhabi, 17 December / WAM / From 22 to 24 December, the National Narcotics Control Agency is organizing a specialized national workshop to prepare the scientific content for the security and safety subject, which was announced by His Excellency Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National Narcotics Control Agency, as part of the activities of the annual meetings of the UAE government 2025. The workshop will be held with the participation of an elite group of experts and specialists from the United Nations and representatives of relevant authorities at the state level. The event will be held at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Hotel. In Abu Dhabi, the workshop will be part of the first phase of launching this pioneering national project within successive steps to enhance community awareness and culture in the areas of protection and prevention.
The workshop aims to prepare scientific content in the fields of security and safety, develop the first framework for the practical national document and its main axes, and enhance the role of state institutions in protecting members of society through an integrated awareness system that contributes to building life skills for school students from the first to the twelfth grade, in addition to preparing an integrated family guide linked to the various educational stages, and in keeping with the state’s trends in raising a conscious and responsible citizen capable of contributing to maintaining the security and safety of society.
The workshop comes within the framework of the efforts of the National Anti-Narcotics Agency to enhance community awareness and protect generations from the dangers of abuse and addiction. It will discuss mechanisms for preparing the security and safety course, developing life skills, and raising awareness of the dangers of drugs, in line with the age characteristics of each educational stage.
The workshop also seeks to unify visions among the concerned authorities, and provide modern scientific and educational content based on best practices, and strengthen the partnership between the school and the family in building a generation that is intellectually and behaviorally fortified, and capable of facing challenges, in a way that supports the sustainable community security system in the UAE.
His Excellency Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan stressed that this workshop seeks to unify visions among the concerned authorities, provide modern scientific and educational content based on best practices, and enhance the partnership between the school and the family in building a generation that is intellectually and behaviorally fortified, and capable of facing challenges, in a way that supports the sustainable community security system in the UAE.
His Excellency indicated that the National Anti-Narcotics Agency will implement a number of national initiatives as part of its ongoing efforts to combat drugs, including the inclusion of the “Security and Safety” subject, which fortifies the younger generation to avoid all accidents and harms that can be avoided due to individual behaviors, and its focus in the secondary stage on the harms of drugs to avoid.
