Putin: Russia will achieve its goals in Ukraine, even by military force

Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that Russia will achieve its goals from the Ukraine Military "Absolutely"including controlling lands it considers to belong to it, in light of international diplomatic efforts to end the war.
He said Putin during a meeting with Defense Ministry officials in Moscow, N "The objectives of the special military operation will certainly be achieved"We prefer to do that and root out the main causes of the conflict through diplomatic means"
He pledged to control lands that Moscow insists were annexed by military means "I refused "Enemy state" and its foreign sponsors engage in substantive discussions"
Progress on security guarantees
These statements come at a time when Ukraine on Monday reported progress on the issue of security guarantees, after two days of talks with envoys of US President Donald Trump in Berlin.
But according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, disagreements remain on the issue of the territories that Ukraine would have to cede to Russia.
The initial proposal presented by Washington was drafted without consulting allies. Ukraine Europeans stipulate that Kiev withdraws from the eastern Donetsk region, and the United States effectively recognizes the Donetsk, Crimea and Luhansk regions as Russian regions.
The content of the revised plan is still unclear.
Outcome of the talks in Berlin
Earlier on Wednesday, the Kremlin said that Russia is awaiting information from the United States regarding the results of the talks in Berlin.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters: "We expect that our American counterparts, as soon as they are ready, will inform us of the results of their work with the Ukrainians and Europeans".
In September 2022, Russia said it had officially annexed the Zaporizhya, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kherson regions, although it did not fully control them militarily.
