The visit of the German Chancellor
The importance of the visit of the Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom and his meeting with His Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect him – lies in its coincidence with the political developments the region is witnessing. And security, which requires consultation and coordination of efforts between the leadership of the two countries in a way that enhances the security and stability of the region.
The two countries are discussing opportunities for cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, petrochemicals, mining, health care, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, infrastructure, transportation, logistics services, and financial services, in a way that supports efforts to achieve the goals of Vision 2030 and its initiatives. In this context, the Saudi-German round table meeting was held in February 2025 with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries in this regard. Fields.
The Saudi-German Committee

Clean Energy
The Kingdom and the Federal Republic of Germany seek to develop joint cooperation in the field of clean energy, as the two countries signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of generating, processing, using, transporting and marketing clean hydrogen fuel jointly, and establishing a bilateral innovation fund with the aim of developing clean hydrogen technologies.
The Kingdom cooperates with Germany in the field of Exporting clean energy sources, and in this context, the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding to establish "Saudi-German Green Hydrogen Bridge" Between ACWA Power and the German company SEVI, to produce and export green hydrogen and green ammonia from the Kingdom to Europe, with the aim of reaching the export of 200 thousand tons of green hydrogen annually by 2030.
Modern transportation technologies
The two countries are working to enhance cooperation between them in the field of modern transportation technologies, and in this context (Saudi Group) signed a deal to purchase 100 electric aircraft with the company "Lilium" German, to provide smart and advanced solutions to facilitate transportation operations and create a qualitative shift in this sector in line with the objectives of the national strategy for transport and logistics services.
Investment institutions in the Kingdom are moving towards acquiring promising German companies, such as the acquisition of the Saudi Public Investment Fund in partnership with… "Bentler International" Austrian, on company "Holon" German autonomous electric vehicle acquisition fund "Arsh Finance" Petrochemical Company has acquired a factory specializing in the production of condensed polymer in Germany, and is seeking to move the factory to Jubail Industrial City in Saudi Arabia.
