The “World Sports Summit” is a new strategic addition from Dubai to the world

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, confirmed that the World Sports Summit, which is organized by the Dubai Sports Council under the guidance and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, on December 29 and 30, under the slogan “Uniting the world through sports,” represents a new strategic addition from Dubai to the world, and an exceptional global platform that brings together more than 1,500 international stars. Sports legends, leaders, decision-makers, and representatives of international sports federations and institutions.

This came while His Highness chaired the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Sports Council, in the presence of the Vice Chairman of the Council, Khalfan Belhoul, and members of the Board of Directors: Ali Al-Mutawa, Ahmed Al-Khaja, Ismail Al-Hashemi, and Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Council, where His Highness was informed of the readiness to organize the first session of the World Sports Summit, which reflects Dubai’s position as a comprehensive platform for global dialogue and shaping the sporting future.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said: “Dubai continues to host global platforms that make a difference in various fields, and today we are proud to present a new global summit in the sports sector, which embodies the vision of our wise leadership in using sports as a positive force that crosses borders, an engine for development, and an effective tool in building a better future for humanity.”

He added: “The World Sports Summit represents the culmination of a phase of continuous institutional work and qualitative achievements achieved by the sports sector in the UAE and the region, and the beginning of a new phase that lays clearer foundations for the future of sports, and unites international efforts towards developing this vital sector in a way that serves humanity and society.”

His Highness continued: “The summit will be a global platform that brings together leaders and decision-makers to discuss the reality of sports today and anticipate its future paths, whether at the level of governance and professional management, developing the performance of athletes, or building integrated systems for training and infrastructure, attracting and nurturing talent, and benefiting from artificial intelligence applications to improve the sports system.”

During His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s inspection of the “World Sports Summit” work teams, His Highness appreciated the efforts made to organize the first session of the summit, which will bring together an elite group of leaders of Olympic committees, international federations, and organizers of global events, along with sports stars and legends who contributed to consolidating the status of sport as a community empowerment force, an economic engine, and a humanitarian message with a global impact. His Highness stressed that Dubai possesses advanced infrastructure and national competencies. Qualifications and pioneering organizational experience enable it to host and stage the global event in an optimal way that befits the country’s stature.

During the meeting, it was announced that all organizational preparations to host the summit had been completed, including receiving a number of speakers and guests before its launch, and participating in accompanying events and activities prepared by the Dubai Sports Council, which will be held on December 28, in preparation for the launch of the summit sessions.
