The second day’s sessions witnessed in-depth discussions and roundtable sessions that focused on the contents of the security and safety subject, and ways to present it through innovative educational methods that take into account age differences and different educational stages, and ensure the achievement of the desired preventive impact at the level of youth, the family, and society.
The round tables addressed a number of main topics, most notably the mechanisms for simplifying security and preventive concepts, integrating theoretical aspects with practical applications, in addition to employing modern media and educational techniques to deliver awareness messages, in a way that enhances the interaction of targets and establishes safe and responsible behavior.
The participants discussed the best local and international practices in presenting security and safety concepts, and the importance of building flexible and updateable scientific content that responds to changing challenges, especially in the areas of personal safety, digital security, mental health, and prevention of behavioral and societal risks.
The participants stressed the importance of integrating roles between the family and national institutions, and the necessity of unifying educational and awareness-raising messages, in a way that contributes to building a comprehensive and sustainable preventive system, starting from early awareness and continuing through the various educational stages.
The sessions also touched on mechanisms for preparing evidence and ways to support supervisors and those in charge of the subject with guidance materials and interactive tools that enable them to present it efficiently and professionally, and achieve its educational and awareness-raising goals.
The second day of the workshop comes as a continuation of the efforts led by the National Drug Control Agency within a participatory process aimed at developing practical visions and clear recommendations that contribute to the development of security and safety, and preparing an integrated national framework that enhances the culture of prevention and supports community security and stability.
