"Start hair" and"Sharjah Publishing City" They expand opportunities for women’s businesses

Sharjah, December 24 / WAM / “Public Hair” signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with the “Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone” with the aim of establishing a long-term framework to empower women’s companies in the publishing sector by expanding their access to opportunities available in the publishing industry sector, providing institutional support, and enhancing their presence in regional and international markets.

“Publish Here” is a global initiative launched by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi with the aim of helping women overcome the professional challenges that stand in their way in the publishing sector.

Under the memorandum, the “Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone” will provide a package of benefits to companies owned by women in the publishing sector with the aim of removing the challenges that hinder their growth and entry into the market, including providing special licensing packages and promoting the “Public Hair” initiative through the various digital channels of the “Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone” and cooperating with it in organizing workshops, book signing parties, communication and networking events, and building professional networks, in addition to facilitating interaction with the media and providing the initiative with the opportunity to benefit from the city’s “Sheen Theater” with the aim of organizing A number of annual events.

The terms of the memorandum also include the Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone’s dissemination of the “Public Hair” initiative’s programs to female entrepreneurs and executives who are based in Sharjah Publishing City, and facilitating the joining of qualified companies in the “Public Hair” initiative and its specialized programs.

The Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone provides an integrated work environment that supports male and female entrepreneurs, including publishing project managers who wish to expand to regional and international markets. Today, it includes more than 9,600 companies within an interconnected global business system in a multi-sector network, which constitutes one of the most prominent opportunities it provides to female publishers who establish their companies in Sharjah.

“Publish Here” encourages female publishers working in “Sharjah Publishing City” to participate in its specialized programs, includes them in its international directory, and highlights their success stories, in addition to providing opportunities for professional guidance and capacity building to enhance their participation in the publishing industry and their professional growth.
