41 beneficiaries of the National Program for Grants for Culture and Creativity in its fourth session

Abu Dhabi, December 25 / WAM / The Ministry of Culture announced 41 beneficiaries of the National Program for Granting Culture and Creativity in its fourth session, which comes as part of its efforts to support creative people and enhance the cultural movement in the country.

The current cycle of the program witnessed a qualitative leap in demand, achieving a growth of 77.6% compared to previous cycles, which reflects the increasing demand for the program and its pivotal role in supporting and empowering creative people.

The Creativity and Production category accounted for the largest share of submitted applications, while the beneficiaries were selected according to approved criteria that included the quality of projects and personal files, the level of impact in the creative sector, and the extent of contribution to achieving sustainable development goals.

The projects presented this year embody an innovative vision in various cultural and creative fields, cultural heritage, writing and publishing, visual arts and design, films and television, performing arts and theatre, music, and video games, reflecting the diversity of creative paths supported by the program, and contributing to strengthening its position as a national platform that enables talents to transform their ideas into effective projects that make a difference in the Emirati cultural scene.

His Excellency Mubarak Al Nakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, stressed the Ministry’s keenness to continue supporting talents and refining their experiences, which contributes to strengthening the country’s position on the map of cultural creativity regionally and internationally, pointing out that the National Program for Granting Culture and Creativity continues its pioneering role in empowering Emirati creators and providing a supportive environment for developing their projects and building their capabilities.

He added that these various projects, which were chosen with great care, reflect the depth of the creative vision of the people of the Emirates and their ability to formulate works that combine authenticity and modernity, and preserve heritage while opening new horizons for innovation, expressing pride in this generation of creators.

The Ministry of Culture provides beneficiaries with quality support opportunities that enhance the development of their creative projects by highlighting their work, involving them in cultural events, and nominating them for local and international awards and festivals in a way that enhances their professional presence and increases their influence.

The National Program for Grants for Culture and Creativity is one of the most prominent government initiatives supporting national creative production, as it provides an integrated system of grants covering four main creative categories, including: creativity and production, local promotion and participation, skills development, and international travel and mobility.

The program contributes directly to developing the creative infrastructure and empowering Emirati talent, in line with the country’s vision of promoting cultural and creative industries.
