Hatta will leave a distinctive mark on the “Professionals”

Hatta goalkeeper, Marzouq Rashid Al-Badawi (22 years old), succeeded in establishing himself as one of the most prominent goalkeepers in the first division league, during the past season, after he contributed to leading his team to win the league shield and qualify for the professional league.

Al-Beddawi played 23 matches, during which he conceded 23 goals, playing a prominent role in the team’s successful journey throughout the season.

Important step

In his interview with Emirates Al-Youm, Al-Badwawi expressed his great happiness in contributing to achieving the shield and qualifying for the professional league, stressing that this achievement represents an important step in his football career, and gives him greater motivation to continue developing and working to reach the national team in the future.

He said: “Winning with Hatta put me on the path towards a promising future as a goalkeeper, and I will continue to work and work hard and invest every opportunity I have in order to achieve my ambitions.”

The young goalkeeper stressed that he owes a lot of credit to his mother, who never stopped praying for him and the team for success. He also praised the role of his father, who was present with him in training and matches, and was always keen to support him and provide reasons for success.

Trustworthy Walid Obaid

Al-Badwawi pointed out that the team’s coach, Walid Obaid, played a pivotal role in his brilliance this season, after giving him the confidence to participate as a starter following the injury of goalkeeper Saeed Al-Mismari since the third round of the league.

He added: “Coach Walid Obaid gave me a great opportunity and trusted my abilities from the beginning. I also received continuous support and guidance from the Spanish goalkeeper coach, Danny, and from all members of the club family, which helped me perform at good levels.”

Regarding the most difficult match he played during the season, he said: “The confrontation with the Emirates at Hatta Stadium was the most difficult for me, because it came at the beginning of my taking over as the first goalkeeper, and I witnessed many dangerous opportunities and attacks that required high concentration throughout the match.”

Painful moment

Al-Badwawi revealed that what saddened him most during the season was losing the Federation Cup final to Palm 365 on penalties, saying: “I was hoping to win the title and complete the season in a perfect way, but we lost the final on penalties, which is a painful moment for all of us, especially after the strong performance provided by the team.”

He stressed that Hatta is capable of providing distinguished levels in the next season in the professional league, in light of the professional management he possesses, a distinguished technical staff, and high-quality players.

He said: “The team will be ready to compete in the professional league, and our ambition is to leave a distinctive artistic mark and achieve results that help us ensure survival and present an honorable image of the club.”

Clean sheets

The Hatta goalkeeper also expressed his desire to achieve a greater number of matches with a clean sheet, after he ended the season with nine matches without conceding goals. He said: “I was aspiring to reach a higher number, but the strength of the competition and the presence of distinguished strikers made the task difficult, despite Hatta having a strong and organized defense line.”

Al-Badwawi congratulated his fellow players, stressing that the achievement was achieved through collective efforts, and said: “I congratulate all the players on this achievement, as everyone deserves congratulations after they presented an exceptional season.”

He concluded his speech by praising the support he received within the club, saying: “We received great support from the Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, who was keen to motivate us with encouraging words before the matches, and those words gave me additional motivation. I also do not forget the support of my colleague Saeed Al-Mismari, who kept encouraging me and providing me with support throughout the season.”
