This field tour comes as an extension of the seventh cycle of the initiative, as SAR continues its intensive efforts to consolidate safety concepts along the railway network, stressing its continued commitment to reducing accidents and raising the efficiency of safe operation of trains in various regions.

The campaign aims mainly to reduce the risks associated with incorrect behavior in Railway vicinity, by emphasizing the necessity of using designated and safe crossings only, and completely staying away from irregular points that pose a direct threat to the lives of passers-by.

Field teams are focusing their efforts in Al-Nairiya on direct communication with the groups most in contact with the railway lines, and this includes residents of the neighborhoods adjacent to the tracks, users of the roads adjacent to the intersections, in addition to livestock owners and hikers in open areas.

This tour is a new link in the series of initiatives implemented by SAR over the past three years, which succeeded in transforming the slogan “I am safe for you” into a pioneering national initiative that actually contributed to reducing infringements and reducing dangerous behaviors that threaten the safety of the operational environment.

In the context of legal deterrence, the campaign includes a firm definition of the legal consequences resulting from trespassing on the railway campus, as penalties reach a fine of 500 thousand Saudi riyals, and imprisonment for a period of up to Two years, or one of these two penalties, to ensure full compliance with the regulations.

SAR confirms that these field movements are not isolated, but rather part of an integrated system that is in line with the objectives of the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics, and directly contributes to achieving the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to enhance the quality of life and raise public safety standards.
