المملكة: Saudi Arabia: The steps taken by the UAE are extremely dangerous and the Kingdom’s security is a red line

The Kingdom expressed its regret for the pressure exerted by the sisterly United Arab Emirates on the forces of the Southern Transitional Council and pushing its forces to carry out military operations on the Kingdom’s southern borders in the governorates of Hadramaut and Al-Mahra.

The Kingdom described this step as a threat to the national security of the Kingdom and the security and stability of the Republic of Yemen and the region, and indicates that the steps taken by the sisterly State of the United Arab Emirates are extremely dangerous, and are not consistent with the foundations upon which the coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen was based, and do not serve its efforts in Achieving the security and stability of Yemen.

In this context, the Kingdom affirmed that any attack or threat to its national security is a red line against which the Kingdom will not hesitate to take all necessary steps and measures to confront and neutralize it.

It stressed its commitment to Yemen’s security, stability, and sovereignty, and its full support for His Excellency the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and his government, and in this context, it renewed its affirmation that the southern issue is a just issue, with its historical dimensions. And the only way to address them is through the dialogue table within the comprehensive political solution in Yemen, in which all Yemeni factions will participate, including the Southern Transitional Council.

The Kingdom stressed the importance of the response of the sisterly United Arab Emirates to the request of the Republic of Yemen for the withdrawal of its military forces from the Republic of Yemen within twenty-four hours, and to stop any military or financial support for any party inside Yemen. The Kingdom hopes in this context that wisdom will prevail and the principles of brotherhood and goodness will prevail. Neighborhood, the close relations that bring together the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the interest of brotherly Yemen, and that the sisterly United Arab Emirates takes the hoped-for steps to maintain bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, which the Kingdom is keen to strengthen, and to work jointly towards everything that would enhance the prosperity and stability of the countries of the region.
