Dubai Events Insurance Committee confirms its readiness for New Year’s celebrations in 2026

Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Operations Affairs and Chairman of the Dubai Events Securing Committee, Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, praised the efforts of the members of the Events Securing Committee, which consists of 55 governmental, semi-governmental and private entities, working side by side to make community members happy, enhance security and safety, and provide all services and logistical support to revelers.

Al Mazrouei stressed that the New Year celebration is one of the most important events organized by the Emirate of Dubai, and receives global attention to announce the beginning of a new year, with hundreds of thousands and millions of viewers attending through various media outlets, pointing out the importance of concerted efforts to reflect the honorable image of the UAE in general and Dubai in particular in organizing the most important and largest global events at the highest levels.

This came during Al Mazrouei’s inspection of field preparations for New Year’s celebrations in 2026, through a tour of the most important sites that will witness fireworks displays.

The Chairman of the Dubai Events Security Committee, accompanied by the Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Brigadier General Musabah Al Ghafli, the Director of the General Department of Operations at Dubai Police, Brigadier Turki bin Faris, and members of the Committee from various governmental, semi-governmental and private departments, toured a number of locations, where he was briefed on all the equipment and preparations in these areas in preparation for the celebrations.

The Events Security Committee confirmed the completion of all preparations for securing New Year’s celebrations, to ensure the provision of all means of comfort and facilitation of traffic for members of the public and celebrants, and called on members of the public to adhere to the instructions and directives of police officers and field work teams while heading to celebrate New Year’s Eve events in 40 locations across the emirate, which contributes to enhancing security and safety for all, and ensures smooth traffic movement and movement on public transportation.

The committee also called on those wishing to travel to destinations outside the country via Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) to go early to the airports to avoid traffic congestion, closures, and delays to flight times.
