More than 300 thousand workers participate in activities " With you and with you we enter the new year"
DUBAI, 2nd January, 2018 (WAM) – More than 300,000 workers participated in the festive workers’ activities organized on the occasion of New Year’s Day in more than 30 locations across the country, under the slogan “With you and with you we enter the new year.”
The events included competitive and interactive activities and draws for valuable prizes.
The celebratory activities were organized in cooperation between the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and its partners in federal and local government agencies, including the Ministry of Interior, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, the general commands of the Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah Police, municipalities at the state level, the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, and the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai.
The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, the General Administration of Civil Defense in Dubai, the Permanent Committee for Labor Affairs in Dubai, the Event Insurance Committee – Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, the Labor Standards Development Authority in Sharjah, the National Ambulance, the Dubai Ambulance Corporation, the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zones Authority (RAKZ), and the Al Ihsan Society also participated in organizing the events.
A number of companies also participated in organizing their own events, reflecting the solidity of social responsibility, and included Sobha Construction Company, European Granada Construction, Millionaire Building Contracting, Advanced Metal Company, La Luxury Services Residences, Al Mehwar Engineering Contracting Company, Dulsco Group, and Innova Build LL.
Celebrating and honoring workers on occasions and holidays is a sustainable methodology implemented by the Ministry in cooperation with its partners.
The events were sponsored by 10 companies, including “Damac” and “Aldar Properties” in the Diamond Sponsorship category, “The Insurance Complex” and “Sobha Real Estate” in the Platinum Sponsorship category, the Integrated Telecommunications Company “Du”, the Emirates General Petroleum Corporation “Emarat”, the Electronic Document Center, the National Marine Dredging Company, Al Ansari Exchange Company in the Gold Sponsorship category, and Abdul Wahed Al Rostamani Group in the Silver Sponsorship category.
