Sharjah Police traffic patrols were able to rescue a driver whose cruise control had broken down.
The police stated that the vehicle was traveling at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour, from Ahmed bin Hadid Square towards Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, and a traffic patrol stopped it within minutes without recording any injuries or damage.
The patrol drove in front of the broken down vehicle at a constant speed, before carrying out a light and deliberate collision to gradually reduce the speed and disconnect the cruise control, according to a precise procedure that takes into account the highest safety standards.
