175 thousand citizens work in the private sector since the launch of “Nafis”

The UAE has achieved important achievements in the labor market and a major leap in the Emiratization file, as it witnessed a 389% increase in the number of citizens joining the private sector since the launch of the “Nafes” program in the year 2021, bringing the total number of citizens working in the private sector until the end of 2025 to more than 175 thousand citizens, compared to 35 thousand citizens before the launch of the program.

According to the UAE government media office, the labor market in the country has achieved remarkable developments over the past twenty years, as during the past five years alone it witnessed a significant growth in the number of labor market establishments amounting to 45.76%, while the total growth of the labor force reached 101.76%, the growth of the skilled labor force by 49.92%, and the growth of women’s participation in the labor market reached 101.92%.
