conference"IPTC" The International Petroleum Technology Center in Dubai attracts global energy leaders

Dubai, January 9 / WAM / From January 13 to 14, Dubai will host the International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) summit on artificial intelligence and digital solutions for the energy sector, with the participation of an elite group of global energy sector leaders, decision makers, technology specialists and technical experts.
The event examines the role of artificial intelligence in reshaping upstream operations and the value chain in the energy sector, in addition to discussing the development of digital solutions that meet the evolving needs of the sector.
Pinar Yilmaz, Chair of the International Petroleum Technology Conference Summit, stated that the International Petroleum Technology Conference is co-organized by four specialized associations: the American Society of Petroleum Geologists, the European Society of Geologists and Engineers, the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers, as the conference constitutes one of the most prominent integrated events in the Middle East and Asia.
She added that the conference is one of the most important references for geologists and engineers, to enhance cooperation in developing integrated technical solutions to meet the evolving needs of the energy sector, while supporting effective carbon reduction solutions.
For his part, Abdul Karim Ahmed Al-Mazmi, CEO of Dragon Oil and co-chair of the IPTC Summit, said that the company has kept pace with progress in integrating artificial intelligence solutions and digital technologies across its operations in Turkmenistan, Egypt and Iraq, and these initiatives aim to enhance operational efficiency, improve the quality of decision-making, and support sustainable production across the company’s international assets.
Al-Mazmi explained that Dragon Oil employs artificial intelligence techniques in the fields of reservoir management, geological and geophysical interpretation, and improving the performance of drilling and production operations, which has contributed to raising the reliability of operations, enhancing safety standards, and maximizing value from mature fields, stressing that the company’s participation as a main sponsor of the summit reflects its commitment to supporting knowledge exchange platforms and accelerating the adoption of digital solutions and artificial intelligence in the oil and gas sector.
The two-day summit program includes two main sessions, two general sessions for executives, four dialogue sessions for executives, 15 technical sessions, and sessions dedicated to displaying electronic posters, in addition to a presentation of technologies, with the participation of a number of executives and sector leaders confirmed.
For his part, Omar Al Nahdi, co-chair of the IPTC Summit and director of petroleum engineering applications services at Aramco, said that participants will receive high-level technical content, and will have opportunities to learn about the latest technologies, and communicate with global experts who shape the future of the energy sector, noting that the summit aims to inspire new ideas, strengthen partnerships, and support the building of a more efficient, reliable and sustainable energy sector.
The summit will also host the 2026 International Petroleum Technology Conference Excellence Awards Ceremony, which celebrates outstanding achievements in technology, sustainability, safety and leadership in the global energy sector.
