An accurate system for transforming palm fronds

Al-Ameishi said that this craftsmanship innovation is based on transforming ordinary palm fronds into folded models in a precise geometric style, which facilitates the process of constructing heritage sessions, canopies and rural fences with high durability and an aesthetic touch that reflects the identity of the agricultural region.

He added that the innovative machine was made entirely of Local nature, where Al-Ameshi combined wood and palm trunks with some plastic pipes and screws to produce a device he called “folded fronds” due to its ability to radically change the shape of the raw fronds.

He pointed out that the production process is subject to a timetable linked to the agricultural seasons, as the raw material is collected during the “Shuwayh” summer season designated for cutting fronds, to be stored with great care and used later according to the needs of various projects throughout the year. Year.

The prosperity of the heritage industry

He stated that this heritage industry is witnessing a remarkable growth in local demand, as implementation contracts vary between small works for individuals not exceeding two meters, and huge projects covering large areas of farms and equipment for major tourist festivals.

Al-Ameshi recorded a record in production during his participation in the third “Al-Ahsa Countryside” festival, where, thanks to his innovative techniques, he was able to implement sixty-eight integrated heritage corners, which highlights the economic and practical feasibility of integrating Innovation in Handcrafts.

The craftsman Al-Omeishi confirmed that the profession of building arhan is still vibrant thanks to the presence of veteran craftsmen, such as his colleague Yousef Al-Owaishi, who play a pivotal role in passing on the secrets of the profession and its techniques to the new generation to ensure that it does not disappear.

He wished to convert his handmade machine into an advanced automatic model that works with electricity and document it officially, sending an open invitation to the governorate’s youth to invest their energies in developing the popular crafts that represent Living memory of the place.
