2.36 billion dirhams, total deals for the first two days of “UMEX and SEMTEX 2026”
The Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council (Tawazun) revealed a new package of deals concluded for the benefit of the Ministry of Defense during the second day of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) and Simulation and Training Exhibition (SIMTEX) 2026, as the number reached 4 deals with a total value of one billion, 479 million and 826 thousand dirhams.
Thus, the number of deals concluded during the first two days of the exhibition increased to 8 deals, with a total value amounting to 2 billion, 359 million and 611 thousand dirhams.
The second day’s deals reflect the strategic approach of the Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council in supporting the development of advanced defense capabilities, enhancing reliance on modern technological solutions, in addition to expanding the scope of partnerships with national and international companies working in the fields of unmanned systems, simulation, and training.
The deals were announced by the council’s official spokesmen, Mohammed Saif Al Zaabi and Mana Abdul Karim Al Mansouri, who pointed out that the pace of announcing deals during the exhibition days reflects the accelerating movement witnessed by the defense and security industries sector.
Three deals were announced for the Edge Group, as the first deal included a contract to develop the Tiger drone valued at 10.556 million dirhams, while the second deal included the development of QX drones with a value of 45.140 million dirhams, and the third deal included the purchase of ANAVIA HT-750 aircraft worth 1.396.126 billion dirhams.
The deals also included another agreement with the Houbara Defense and Security Company, which includes the purchase of remote control vehicles to deal with explosives and EOD devices, at a value of 28 million dirhams.
The two speakers indicated that announcements will continue during the third and final day of the exhibition, with the unveiling of additional deals that contribute to supporting national security and defense goals, and consolidating the UAE’s position in advanced defense industries.
