The UAE government reviews "Davos" Experiences of eliminating bureaucracy and developing services

Davos – Switzerland, 23 January / WAM / The UAE government, as part of its participation in the activities of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum “Davos”, reviewed the country’s visions and directions for developing a future government sector enhanced by advanced technology and artificial intelligence, supportive of innovation, stimulating international cooperation, and developing services with a tangible impact that improve the quality of life of society, support the business sector, and enhance the digital economy environment.
The UAE’s participation in Davos 2026 reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, “may God protect him”, which is based on consolidating the country’s pioneering role globally in promoting international cooperation and supporting development, and translates the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, to enhance the UAE’s efforts and initiatives aimed at supporting the exchange of international experiences and sharing government knowledge to develop transformative solutions that serve people and achieve a sustainable impact.
His Excellency Engineer Mohammed bin Taliah, Head of Government Services in the UAE Government, shared with the attendees and participants in the forum’s sessions and events the most prominent results achieved by the UAE government since the launch of the bureaucracy zeroing programme, and touched on the government’s visions for the future of services, digital transformation, and employing artificial intelligence in developing government services and operations.
Bin Taliah participated in a closed ministerial session entitled: “Prospects for Digital Governance: From Digital Infrastructure to the Next Generation of Government Technology,” which discussed achieving a balance between innovation, sovereignty, and digital inclusion through developing public digital infrastructure, adopting artificial intelligence-based agent systems, and enhancing interoperability and integration of data platforms.
The session touched on anticipating the new generation of digital governance, which adopts digital models that are more interconnected and capable of achieving direct value for society and the economy.
The session discussed the transition of governments to service systems supported by artificial intelligence based on trust and flexibility, and ministers from Germany, Rwanda, Kazakhstan and India spoke at it.
Mohammed bin Taliah pointed out that the rate of use of artificial intelligence has reached 97% at the level of the UAE government, and touched on the “Artificial Intelligence for All” initiative, which aims to empower government cadres with artificial intelligence tools by 2026, which redefines the role of the government employee. He touched on the government’s efforts to qualify its employees to adopt such technologies and highlight qualitative initiatives through the Emirates Artificial Intelligence Award.
Bin Taliah also participated in an open dialogue session entitled “Reimagining Government Services: Artificial Intelligence for Real-time, Predictive, and Human-Centered Experiences,” hosted by the Artificial Intelligence House in Davos, with a group of technology and innovation experts from G42, Cohere, and the European Institute for Future Generations. The speakers touched on the rapid change in methods of designing government services in the era of artificial intelligence and the importance of focusing on using technology to serve customers and provide easier and faster service experiences, during which the experience of the UAE government was reviewed. In employing artificial intelligence applications in service sectors such as remote litigation services, digital identity, and others, which have had a tangible impact on individuals and companies.
Bin Taliah participated in a roundtable meeting within the “NextGen Artificial Intelligence” alliance, in the presence of representatives of major international organizations and companies, including HP, Microsoft, and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), to discuss solutions and partnerships to prepare the next generation for the era of artificial intelligence.
The meeting focused on the topics of education and digital skills, and solutions to ensure comprehensive access to emerging technologies, thus enhancing the opportunities of societies around the world to benefit from the upcoming technological transformations.
