The Egyptian Minister of Culture praises Sharjah’s role in supporting culture and spreading knowledge

Cairo, January 23 / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Egyptian Minister of Culture, praised the pioneering role played by the Emirate of Sharjah in supporting culture and disseminating knowledge and the advanced civilizational model it represents in preserving the Arab cultural heritage. At the same time, he appreciated the role played by the Sharjah Heritage Institute in preserving, maintaining and documenting heritage.

This came during his visit to the pavilion of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage participating in the currently held Cairo International Book Fair, where he viewed the pavilion’s rich and diverse heritage titles, including books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, magazines, pamphlets, and specialized publications that reflect the richness of the Arab cultural heritage.

The cultural program accompanying the Institute’s participation includes a number of dialogue sessions in which an elite group of specialists in the fields of heritage and culture participate, including the first two sessions entitled: “Cultural Commons between Emirati Heritage and Egyptian Heritage” and the second “Heritage Readings” in cooperation with the Book Club, in addition to the signing of a number of the latest heritage literary publications.
