Announcing the award winners of the 57th Cairo International Book Fair

Cairo, January 24 / WAM / The Egyptian Ministry of Culture announced that the names of the winners of the Cairo International Book Fair awards in its fifty-seventh session, which began last Wednesday, were approved.

The Best Arab Publisher Award, issued in cooperation with the Arab Publishers Union, went equally to the Egyptian Cultural Industry House Group and the Lebanese Asala House, while Umm Al-Dunya House won the Best Egyptian Publisher Award, which comes in cooperation with the Egyptian Publishers Union.

The award in the field of literary criticism was shared between the book “The Novel Concept” by Dr. Salah Al-Sarawi, and the book “Rhetoric of the Code” by Medhat Safwat, while the novel “The White Stars Agency” by Amr Al-Adly won the award in the field of fiction.

The short story award went to the short story collection “Three Women in a Narrow Room” by writer Hanaa Metwally, published by the House of Wisdom Group for Cultural Industries, while the collection of short stories “No One Here Will Tend to You” by the poet Muhammad Suleiman, issued by the Egyptian General Book Authority, was crowned with the Classical Poetry Award.

The poetry collection “Farida… The Mural of My Mother Who Sold Her Furniture” by poet Saeed Shehata, published by the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, won the Colloquial Poetry Award, while the book “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Supporting Human Resource Management Practices in the Petroleum Sector” won the Scientific Book Award (Artificial Intelligence) by Dr. Ezz Al-Sayyid Sadiq.

In the field of children’s books, the book “Circle of Safety” published by Dar Arjohah by Dr. Rana Hani, while the book “Alienation and Modernity in Arab Cultural Criticism” by Dr. Hassan Muhammad Al-Shafi’i, published by the Al-Azhari Heritage Library, won the award in the field of humanities (heritage and identity).
