“Identity” conducts a “15 fingerprint” for students at school headquarters

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security revealed that its work teams visit schools directly to conduct fingerprint registration for students who have reached the age of 15 years, to enable them to obtain identity services as quickly as possible, which saves time and effort for the students and their parents.
She stated that “Fingerprint 15” is a proactive government initiative, launched by the authority in its new form as part of its plan to facilitate customers’ access to services, and it brings services closer to school students aged 15 years and over.
She pointed out that the initiative aims to simplify government procedures, achieve customer happiness, and update the population registry electronically to support digital transformation.
The Authority stated that the process of including decimal fingerprints for school students over 15 years of age, and providing them directly at school headquarters without the need to visit customer happiness centers, is part of the Authority’s efforts to enhance the efficiency of the identification system and achieve a smooth and proactive customer experience.
The Authority confirmed that it is mandatory to take a fingerprint for those over 15 years old when issuing the Emirates ID card, noting that obtaining the Emirates ID card is mandatory for all residents of the UAE, including Emirati citizens, citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and expatriates residing in the country, and any person included in the scope of one of these categories is required to apply for an ID card from the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, and renew it when it expires.
