157 participants from 31 nationalities, certificate of success for the “Dubai Water Sports Festival”

The Dubai International Marine Sports Club concluded the activities of the “Dubai Water Sports Festival”, which extended for about a week of sports competitions and community interaction for tournaments held on the beaches of Dubai in Jumeirah and Jebel Ali, amid a large turnout of 154 participants from 31 different nationalities.
The competitions witnessed the participation of contestants from the Emirates, and from: the Philippines, Kuwait, Hungary, India, Britain, Morocco, France, Russia, Qatar, South Africa, Jordan, Egypt, Bulgaria, Poland, Australia, Tunisia, Spain, Thailand, Syria, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Oman, Greece, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran, and Iraq. Ukraine, Bahrain and the Cayman Islands.
The conclusion came with the holding of the Dubai Kayak Fishing Competition, and the second round of the Dubai Stand-up Paddling and Kayak Race, both of which were held on Jumeirah Beach.
The Dubai Kayak Fishing Competition was characterized by strong competition and wide participation from 70 contestants of both genders, led by participants from the UAE, and from: the Philippines, Jordan, Pakistan, Ukraine, Egypt, India, Iraq, Iran, Bangladesh, Greece, Malaysia, France, and the Sultanate of Oman.
The participation was also qualitative and strong in the second round of the Dubai Stand-up Paddling and Kayak Race, which witnessed the participation of 27 competitors, from the UAE, Tunisia, Morocco, Spain, Syria, Hungary, Kenya, the United Kingdom, Thailand, Poland, France, Serbia, South Africa and the Philippines.
Mohammed Hareb, accompanied by Mohammed Al Marri, Director of the Sports Affairs Department at the club, crowned the first-place winners at the conclusion of the competitions.
Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Director of the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, Mohammed Hareb, praised the efforts of those responsible for the Dubai Water Sports Festival, which witnessed outstanding success in all four of its events. In addition to these two competitions, the Dubai Jet Ski Race and the second round of the kite surfing competitions were held. The holding of this festival comes in implementation of the club’s strategy to diversify marine sports and increase their spread among all segments of society to reach the largest possible segment, in addition to highlighting the wonderful beach destinations that the emirate abounds with. Dubai is considered one of the best in the world in being able to practice marine activities in cooperation with success partners from national institutions that are always keen to support sports and positive interaction with society.
