Baniyas achieves “Victory” and increases the pain of “The Brigadier General”

The Baniyas team achieved an important victory over its host Al-Nassr, with two unanswered goals, today, Thursday, at Al Maktoum Stadium, at the end of the fourteenth round of the ADNOC Professional Football League, thus deepening the “Dean’s” wounds and further distancing him from the competition circle.
Baniyas’ goals were scored by Lionel Govofo in the 45th minute, and Youssef Nketiah in the 71st minute, while goalkeeper Fahd Al Dhanhani played a prominent role in keeping the clean sheet, with his decisive saves against Al-Nasr’s successive attacks.
With this result, Baniyas raised its score to 11 points, advancing to thirteenth place on goal difference from Al-Bataeh, which is in twelfth place, while Al-Nasr’s score froze at 19 points in sixth place.
The match witnessed the participation of the two teams’ winter deals, as Al-Nasr’s new player, Issam Fayez, came on as a substitute in the 66th minute in place of Jonatas Santos, while new Baniyas striker Moanis Dabour came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute, replacing Lionel Govofo.
